From the A30:
- Approximately 6.4 (4 miles) after leaving the dual carriageway at the end of the Bodmin bypass, you will go under an iron railway bridge.
- Carry on for another 4.8 km (3 miles) to the next left-hand junction, sign-posted Newquay A392.
- Follow signs for Newquay and continue for approximately 8 km (5 miles) to Quintrell Downs.
- At the roundabout, take the right-hand exit into Quintrell Road (A3058).
- Continue over the level crossing (sign-posted Newquay Porth and Henver Road).
- Carry along this road for approximately 4.8 km (3 miles).
- You go straight over 2 mini-roundabouts.
- After the 2nd mini-roundabout, continue for 365 metres (400 yards).
- The Great Western Hotel is on the right.

There is a main bus and train station in the centre of Newquay. Newquay also has its own airport.
